Deputy Chief Internal Auditor(Ref:186/11)
Responsibilities
-Manages the internal Audit function
-Develops and obtains proper approval for goals,audit work schedules,staffing plans and financial budgets for the department
-Participates in or conducts evaluation and cost studies
-Conducts scheduled and special audits and makes recommendations for improvement
-keeps currents on trends in accounting and auditing
-identifies and analyses causes of uneconomic and inefficient practices in assigned areas of responsibility
-Assures follow up of audit findings to ensure adequacy and timeliness of correction
-presents findings and recommendations concerning activities audited tom the Audit commitee
-Helps coordinate audit activities with other departments to secure resources needed to evaluate programs and conducts audits
-participates in development of internal Audit’s annual budget and monitors subsequent expenditures
Qualifications and Experience
-A university degree in Economics,Management,Business Administration,Accounting or any related discipline
-Must have one of the following qualifications:ACA,CPA,ACCA
-Proven accounting software skills
-public sector experience is an added advantage
-minimum of 12 years relevant experience
-Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

-Considerable knowledge of budget preparation and approved procedure for multi-department organization
