Responsibilities
-Supervises daily activities of the Authority’s foremen,skilled
-Maintenance workers and labourers
-Oversees all road construction and maintenance
-Maintains stock of materials and supplies necessary for public works responsibilities
-Controls the purchasing of materials and equipment necessary for public works responsibilities
-Helps to develops specifications and bid documents for a variety of public works and utility related designs,construction and maintenance projects;
recommends contract awards,negotiates contract provisions and coordinates,reviews and approves contractor’s performance
-Maintains employee time sheets and attendance records for public works and other documents and detailed reports and records as necessary
-Under the direction of Director Engineering,prepares reports,analyses and makes recommendations for public works projects
-Ensures that water,street,storm water and waste water systems are operated in compliance with city,State and federal laws
Qualifications and Experience
-Candidate must have 12 years relevant experience
-A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
-Registered with the Council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
Skills and Competencies:
-Must be a leader who can drive performance and influence outcomes.
-The principles and practices of Civil Engineering Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
