HON is offering at wide range of services to citizens, medical professionals and health care providers. The HON Web development team makes HON services available to millions of users in order to access health websites respecting a set of quality criteria: the HONcode. The team combines software development, system administration expertise in Unix to run multilingual services available in 102 countries.
- Gathering requirements from stakeholders with the validation of the senior developer and manager;
- Implementing new requirements and major application changes on services, on time, in accordance with the specification;
- Unit testing of code to deliver projects of robust quality;
- Problem solving skills and ability to think laterally;
- Look for opportunities to improve or optimize systems;
- Managing time and priorities in a rapidly changing, flexible environment;
- Participating in code reviews and support of peers in a collaborative environment;
- Creating and maintaining user and developer documentation;
- Communicating, training, sharing knowledge and ideas as well as, issues and training/resource needs with others;
- Implementing configuration changes/additions, setting up users, reports etc;
- Adopting a flexible approach to workload and ensuring delivery according to priorities and timeframes agreed with managers;
- Ensuring that solutions are implemented according to design and standards/best practices and specification, and help define those alongside senior staff;
- Developing and applying knowledge of appropriate development technologies.
You have knowledge of the following:
- Information retrieval and classification techniques;
- Languages programmings: PERL and Java Object;
- Understanding of accessibility, usability and search engine optimisation;
- Knowledge of SQL Server;
- Tiered code development;
- Knowledge in Sorl -Lucene required;
- Future mobile application development - iPhone, Android, Ovi etc.
You are responsible and organized; creative and proactive.
You are fluent in French with a very good knowledge of written and spoken English, the German is a plus.
